Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin shells
that easily slide over your teeth and perfect your smile by
concealing stains, chips, or gaps. Porcelain veneers, which
are an excellent alternative to crowns, bond to teeth for an
extremely natural and long-lasting look. And porcelain veneers
are highly resistant to stains, so you can continue to enjoy
your favorite soft drinks, coffee, and tea without worrying
about discoloring your new dazzling smile! On
your first visit to our offices in Houston, Texas, our cosmetic
dentist will discuss your options and whether porcelain veneers
are right for you. On your second visit, our cosmetic dentist
will take impressions of your teeth that the in-house lab
will use to produce custom-made porcelain veneers. In most
cases, no grinding or anesthesia is necessary to prepare your
teeth for porcelain veneers, so there is no need for shots!
We are one of the few offices in the world that has its own
in-house dental ceramic laboratory with two full-time technicians.
Having our own laboratory allows us to make natural and beautiful
porcelain veneers right here at our office in Houston, Texas.
You don’t have to wait for weeks to have the
amazing smile you desire! In at least 50 percent of our cases,
veneers can be placed with little or no grinding, and
there is no need for anesthetic shots. For more information

Dental Implants
Whether you are missing one tooth or a couple,
dental implants may be right for you. Dental implants are
surgically attached below the gum line and act as anchors
for replacement teeth, dental bridges, or dentures. Dental
implants fuse to the jawbone to provide a stable foundation
for replacement teeth, ensuring your smile will stay healthy
for years to come. Dental implants are an excellent option
for people who are missing teeth because they provide a natural
look and comfortable feel. But having spaces in your teeth
does not only affect the beauty of your smile. Gaps can cause
surrounding teeth to drift or shift, making chewing or speaking
difficult and painful. If you have missing teeth, contact
our cosmetic dentists in Houston, Texas today to evaluate
if dental implants are right for you.Because dental implants require surgery,
it is important to have healthy gums and adequate bone. Our
cosmetic dentists will discuss your options when you visit
the office.^ Back to

Teeth Whitening
Many people feel better about their appearance
when they have a bright white smile. But soda, coffee, tea,
and tobacco can take their toll on teeth, making bright smiles
dull and drab. That is why our cosmetic dentists offer Zoom!
one-hour teeth whitening. Zoom! is seen on ABC's "Extreme
Makeover" and was developed by our cosmetic dentists'
friend and colleague Dr. Bill Dorfman. During
the Zoom! teeth whitening procedure at our Houston, Texas
office, a trained dental assistant will take impressions of
your teeth for bleaching trays you can use to make touch ups
at home (if you don’t want to worry about teeth whitening
at home, you can skip this step). Next, you will look at a
variety of teeth shades to determine which one best matches
your teeth. A retractor is then placed in your mouth, and a
liquid is applied to your gums to prevent sensitivity. You
will put on protective eyewear, and as you lie in a reclined
position, the dental assistant shines the light onto your
teeth, activating the teeth whitening gel. After 20 minutes,
the light shuts off and you will rest for several minutes
with the light off and the teeth whitening gel in place. This
process is repeated twice, and when the final cycle is complete,
you can look in the mirror and admire your new, bright white
smile!Don’t wait another day to get a stunning
smile and boost your confidence. Contact

Invisalign
Do you want to straighten your teeth without
having to wear obvious, uncomfortable metal braces? If your
answer is yes, Invisalign might be the perfect solution. Invisalign
is the undetectable way to get straight, beautiful teeth without the hassle of metal braces. In both clinical research
and in practices nationwide, Invisalign has been proven to
work. Here’s how: During your first visit to Cosmetic Dental
Associates in Houston, Texas, one of our cosmetic dentists
will help you determine if Invisalign is a good option for
you. The next step is designing a treatment plan specific
to your needs and taking tooth impressions, which Invisalign
will use to create a personalized tooth-straightening device,
called an aligner. You will wear a set of aligners for about
two weeks, only taking them off to eat, drink, brush, or floss.
Aligners are replaced every two weeks as your teeth move and
straighten. You will visit our office in Houston once every
six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing, and in
nine to 15 months, you will have the straight, gorgeous smile
of your dreams.Invisalign is an excellent alternative to
traditional braces because it is comfortable, removable, and
virtually undetectable. In addition, Invisalign allows you
to view a virtual treatment plan before you get started so
you can see how straight your teeth will become. ^ Back to

Dental Bonding
Dental bonding can simply and painlessly
restore your smile to its natural beauty. The dental bonding
procedure includes spreading a thin coating of resin over
the surface of damaged teeth, repairing chips, discolorations,
or cracks. Dental bonding can also effectively change the
color, shape, and size of teeth, giving your smile a uniform
and healthy appearance. During the dental bonding procedure, our
cosmetic dentist roughs up the tooth’s enamel so the
resin will easily stick. After the resin is applied, it is
exposed to a high-intensity light that hardens and seals it
to the tooth’s surface. After the resin is bonded to
the tooth, it is polished and shaped to match the rest of
your teeth. The dental bonding procedure requires no anesthetics
or shots, and the final result is a natural, healthy smile
with no sign of damage or stains. If you would like to learn
more about our dental bonding procedures, please call our
office in Houston, Texas today!^ Back to

Dental Bridges
Dental bridges can fill holes in your smile
by literally bridging the gap between missing teeth. Most
dental bridges are made of a false tooth that is held together
by two crowns, which is then attached to the teeth on each
side of the gaps. Dental bridges are comfortable and durable,
and can only be removed by the dentist. In order to place dental bridges, the teeth
surrounding the gap need to be filed down to accommodate the
crowns. Once the teeth are shaped, an impression is made and
the crowns and bridge are bonded and designed to fit comfortably
in your mouth. The final result is a natural, beautiful smile
with no gaps.If you are missing one or more teeth, you
may be a good candidate for dental bridges. Filling gaps with
dental bridges not only benefits the look of your smile, but
also your health. Gaps can cause surrounding teeth to drift,
making chewing uncomfortable and difficult. But even more
serious problems can result from missing teeth, including
tooth decay and gum disease. If you have missing teeth, don’t
wait another day to get it taken care of. Contact

Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain crowns, also called caps, are
natural-looking covers that easily glide over damaged teeth
to conceal imperfections such as breaks, fractures, or stains.
Porcelain crowns add strength and durability while improving
the appearance of damaged or misaligned teeth. To prepare your teeth for porcelain crowns,
the cosmetic dentist needs to reduce the damaged tooth so
the crown can fit easily and comfortably. An impression of
your teeth and gums is made and you are fitted with a temporary
crown until the permanent crown is prepared. Once porcelain
crowns are ready, it is a quick visit to our office to cement
them into place. To ensure you receive the look you desire,
our cosmetic dentists usually use temporary cement so you
can approve the final result before the crown is permanently
secured into place. There are several reasons teeth may require
porcelain crowns, including a previously filled tooth that
now has more filling than tooth structure, decay, discolorations
or other aesthetic concerns, root canals, and bridges. For further information, or to set up a
consultation to see if you are a candidate for porcelain crowns,
please contact
one of our cosmetic dentists in Houston, Texas today, or
e-mail us close-up photos of your teeth and gums.^ Back to

Porcelain Onlays
Porcelain onlays increase tooth strength
and provide lasting protection for teeth that have extensive
decay. By using porcelain onlays, our cosmetic dentists are
able to repair just the damaged portion of the tooth, leaving
most of the tooth structure intact. To prepare for an onlay, old existing fillings
and decay are removed from the tooth and an impression is
made. Onlays are made to match the color of your other teeth
and fit perfectly into the prepared surface, reducing the
seam between the tooth and the restoration. This will help
prevent further decay from occurring, keeping your smile healthy
for years. ^ Back to

Tooth-Colored Fillings
Unattractive metal fillings are now a thing
of the past. Here in our Houston, Texas office, our cosmetic
dentists use tooth-colored fillings to fix cavities, giving
you a white, healthy smile with no signs of dental work. These modern fillings are matched to your
tooth color and bonded to the surface of your tooth for a
stronger, more natural effect that you can expect to last
for years to come. Other advantages of tooth-colored fillings
include the removal of less tooth structure, a tighter seal
between the filling and the tooth, and the ability to repair
or add on as needed. ^ Back to

General Dentistry
Our practice is not limited to restorative
and cosmetic dentistry. We choose to focus our practice on
prevention and health as opposed to simply emphasizing emergency
and repair care. The best way to protect and preserve your
teeth for life is to have your teeth cleaned regularly by
a dental hygienist, at which time X-rays and other preventative
measures can be applied to ensure your teeth and gums are
in good health. When you visit our office, we will begin your
treatment with a thorough diagnosis and devise a dental plan
that is specific to your own individual wants and needs. A
complete examination of teeth, gums, bite, and soft tissue
will be performed, and we will take photographs, models, and
X-rays, if needed. In addition to preventative care, our office
offers soft tissue management programs, gum treatments, orthodontics,
extractions and oral surgery (removal of wisdom teeth), root
canals, fluoride treatments, and thorough instructions on
proper brushing and flossing. We understand that emergencies happen. All
patients in our family practice are provided with a 24-hour
phone number that we expect you to call if you have any sort
of emergency. You can reach us anytime, day or night.
